PreviewCast turns the idea of a tech roundtable podcast inside out by doing it with a bunch of bored teens offering their unique spin on the tech news and often making fun of each other. This is the podcast where randomness is king of the hill and the birds sing of Larry-heads and deep-fried pickle hearts. Sure to entertain you, inform you, and knock your socks off, PreviewCast is the podcast that has absolutely nothing to do with absolutely nothing!
So I’m kind of going behind Larry’s back to post this special message from me, but he’s gone behindmy back before.
I wanted to take the opportunity to post an episode about a very important topic which we neglected to talk about on the previous episode of PreviewCast: net neutrality. The FCC is considering selling the public airways to private corporations like AT&T, Verizon, and Comcast–airways which could be used for such great things as faster and more reliable public wifi, or internet access to places in this country which currently have zero coverage, not to mention the companies taking another stab at destroying net neutrality, which is the sole principle that keeps the internet a level playing field where everyone has an equal chance to express their views and post their content. All of us internet users and online content providers are affected by this issue, so take the time to listen to this special episode to find out more and what you can do to help.

PreviewCast is back after a month-long hiatus, but apparently we’re not all back. Thanks to Memorial Day weekend, Larry is out camping, and Robert is zoning out. Maybe we all are. Hmm…
Apple has announced on their website that they are going to become A Greener Apple, but Greenpeace still isn’t quite pleased, and Douglas wants a new computer called the “Granny Smith.” Meanwhile, AppleInsider declares the Mac mini DEAD, but Douglas isn’t convinced. One of the latest iPhone rumors is that it is coming out on June 20th, but then again, there’s a whole bunch of iPhone rumors to sort through! A recent Apple Patent filing reveals a multi-sided touchscreen iPod, because two screens are better than one! Apple has three new Get a Mac ads, which are actually pretty good. (Which Vista will you choose?) The latest Macworld magazine includes 8 Ways to Go Green with Your Mac. Meanwhile, today’s reviews (which should supposedly be only out of five Larry-heads) are Facebook (from Facebook) and Coda (from Panic). And a moment of silence for those who have died for our country, well, sort of.
All this and more on the grand return of PreviewCast!

I wanted to give everyone an update on PreviewCast, because it’s been kinda slow here for awhile. I’ve been busy with things like PTA Conventions and AP tests, and Larry’s been busy with a couple of proms, and we’ve both been busy with the coming end of school. (Only 3 more weeks for me!!!) Anyway, because of these commitments, we haven’t been churning PreviewCast episodes as quickly as usual, but we hope to get back on track soon. (Particularly when summer starts up, then we’ll have lots of free time!)
Anyway, thanks, as always, for continuing to listen to PreviewCast, and we look forward to coming out with a new episode soon.
